Kinsley has built a culture that stands the test of time — and we knew this mini-doc series had to as well. To accomplish it, we avoided the overly-static look of “talking head” interviews and aimed for a story as exciting as the source material.
Anamorphic lenses provide a wide, cinematic look of the kind typically found in movies. Combined with handheld shooting and detailed sound design, we gave the audience a much fuller understanding of what being on a Kinsley job site actually feels like.
Time is precious on any shoot but even more so in a live construction zone. To get the most from our interviews, we conducted pre-interviews with all of our subjects so we could find patterns and natural connections ahead of time.
When shoot day came, we knew exactly what we wanted — and still had plenty of stories left to tell later.
Master Builder is the flagship of the series. The two cuts below expand the brand picture beyond a single project.
